Pediatric Ophthalmology Associates, P.C. boasts a rich legacy in pediatric eye care dating back to 1962 when it was founded by Dr. Carl J. Troia, the first fellowship-trained Pediatric Ophthalmologist in Omaha. Originally located in downtown Omaha’s Medical Arts Building and later moving west in 1967, the practice established itself as a trusted provider of specialized ophthalmic care. Over the decades, the expertise of renowned physicians—Dr. Sebastian J. Troia (joining in 1980), Dr. Robert N. Troia (1984), Dr. Sarah Wierda (2014), and Dr. Andrew N. Troia (2018)—has further solidified its reputation. Since relocating in 2000 to 515 N. 98th Street, Pediatric Ophthalmology Associates has continued to serve a diverse clientele, providing eye care primarily for patients under 21 and adults with strabismus.

92 West worked with their internal team, brand expectations and implemented a clean and modern layout.

Platform Modernization:
Leveraging WordPress and Elementor Pro, the site will be redesigned to be visually engaging, mobile-responsive, and aligned with contemporary web standards.

Content Strategy Alignment:
Comprehensive revisions will be made to the existing content to ensure it reflects the practice’s legacy and expertise, while also meeting organic search optimization goals for improved online visibility.

Team Empowerment and Training:
92 West will provide hands-on training to the practice’s team, enabling them to confidently manage updates and site administration independently.

This digital refresh is designed not only to honor the practice’s extensive history but also to position Pediatric Ophthalmology Associates as a modern, accessible leader in pediatric ophthalmic care.

Client Overview

Pediatric Ophthalmology Associates was initially founded by Carl J Troia, M.D. in 1962. He was the first fellowship trained Pediatric Ophthalmologist to practice in Omaha. The practice was initially located at the Medical Arts Building in downtown Omaha until moving west in 1967. For the next 33 years it was located at 84th & West Center Road.

Sebastian J. Troia, M.D. joined the practice on July 1, 1980 after finishing his Ophthalmology residency in Kansas City and then a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology in Washington, D.C.

Robert N. Troia, M.D. joined the group in January of 1984 after also finishing his Ophthalmology residency in Kansas City and a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology in both Philadelphia and San Francisco.

Dr. Sarah Wierda M.D. joined the practice in November of 2014 after finishing her Ophthalmology residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

Andrew N. Troia joined the practice in August of 2018 after finishing his Ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit and a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at Children’s Hospital Pittsburgh UPMC.

After Carl Troia, M.D. retired, Pediatric Ophthalmology Associates relocated the practice in 2000 to 515 N. 98th Street where it is currently located. Our practice caters to those under 21 and adults with strabismus.
